I would cringe at the thought of making personal effects such as intimate letters public.
However, my respect shot up a million notches for Mr Obama, while reading about his letters to his then girlfriend.
Through some of his words, I felt an understanding with young Obama, and seeing where he is now, gives me hope about what's before me.
I learned its okay to question, to have doubts. Its not okay to stop searching for answers, or quit attempting to make meaning out of existence.
Like a senior friend once said to me, "if the force in the soul of a man can bring success such as this, how much more one that is resident in his spirit?"
Once again, I am so encouraged by, and impressed with Mr Obama, I wish him and his family well.
Lemme make noise here small, it has been a while.
Dear (past/present/future/prospective) bae/friend
DON'T, I repeat, do not write nonsense to me. In fact, by now, you should know I have no chill for such.
I am not the sugar in your tea (Jesus is), nor am I the best thing that has happened to you (the salvation of your soul is). By the way, you can live without me (yes, its only The Holy Ghost and His oxygen you cannot live without).
~~Thank you for your kind compliments.~~
Don't expect sweet Yoruba nothings from me, and you better be ready to speak in tongues till your very tongue drops.
Please speak about intellectually stimulating, and spiritually inspiring things and at least, be passionate about one thing.
Like a friend, I would say that if I sound an alarm, I am the first recipient of that warning. I have/will comply(ed) to the above. Therefore, don't waste my time.
I will not waste your time, so help me God.
Thus we have ranted, amen.
