Ever since Sade found a man
she has not let peace reign in town.
My boyfriend this, my boyfriend that
has made her cheeks fat with delight.
Chisom, the latest boo
Sade charmed with her woo
lives a thousand miles away
but visits every Saturday.
Before his arrival
Sade hunts for the latest style.
She paints her face like a clown,
plucks her legs like a Christmas chicken,
sucks in her belly like a reversed fart,
and pushes her breasts off the chart.
Sade thinks he visits to see her face
or misplace his hand underneath her lace,
or cradle her clenched waist,
and stare at her inflated chest.
But Chisom and I truly know
he is only here for the Efo Riro
that I cook on Saturdays
a thousand miles away.
