by Oyindamola Shoola This day I terribly feared, arrived.
I practiced my introductions and how I will talk about my job, what I studied in school, where I stumbled upon this opportunity... As the time drew closer, I rushed to the kitchen, wore my apron, ruffled my hair, sprinkled a little flour on my wrists, dotted Iya Bisi's soup on my cloth, poured the remaining soup in my pot and stirred it like the true chef I am. About an hour later as my in-laws licked their fingers, from Iya Bisi's Amala to Halima's beef patty, I smiled sheepishly with joy that I passed the interview.
